The theatre is in central Dartford located within the Thames Gateway regeneration area, close to the rail station, car parks, and the intersection of M25, M2, and M20 motorways which make it an ideal location for both local and international promotional events and corporate hospitality.

Our on-site technicians can accommodate your every requirement and help ensure that you and your organisation accomplish all your event objectives and more.

The full bar and catering facilities make it an ideal environment for product and service awareness sessions, small seminars, meetings and training events. The main auditorium and stage, served by the lower and upper and foyers, provides comfortable theatre-style seating for up to 956. We have a fully equipped theatre stage area exceeding 100 square metres and state of the art lighting and audio equipment.

The Orchard Theatre's proximity to London make the theatre very suitable for audience-based television and radio productions and for conference-style events.

A wedding - or any other type of celebration - at The Orchard Theatre offers a truly unique experience. Whether it's an intimate gathering of family and friends with canapés and champagne or up to 250 guests sitting down for a silver-service dinner in the main auditorium - The Orchard Theatre will create a once in a lifetime experience for you.
Our dedicated team will offer help and advice from the day you book until you leave us at the end of the evening - making sure your event goes as smoothly as possible.

We have a variety of flexible menu and drinks packages to suit all your requirements; however, our planner will be very happy to work with you to tailor any packages to suit your specific needs and budgets.

Whatever the occasion, our professional catering team can offer a wealth of options and experiences. Our team of chefs can prepare specially tailored menus for all occasions and budgets, from a cocktail buffet to a silver service dinner, and our event organisers will; work with you closely to ensure that your function runs smoothly.

Spaces

All of our spaces have been designed and equipped to host any type of event in a stylish, modern environment with the theatrical flair of an entertainment venue. Whatever your requirements, our experienced team will be on hand to assist and make sure that your event runs perfectly.

Main Auditorium

With state-of-the-art staging, The Orchard Theatre auditorium perfect for any large conference or meeting and the perfect space in Kent for large-scale presentations, product launches or events that have real impact.

The auditorium can be hired for daytime or evening events, comes with the support the theatre's industry-leading technical team and is wheelchair accessible.

The standard configuration of the auditorium is 956 seats, however, with the ability to go flat floor, we can create a banquet and conference space for 250 or drinks reception and standing parties for up to 900.

 

The Restaurant

The Restaurant is a modular space, perfect for more intimate occasions and can be hired independently from the auditorium for your event and is suitable for presentations, meetings or break-out sessions.

The Head Chef and in-house team at The Orchard Theatre Restaurant are available to provide a selection of lunch or buffet options to suit the needs of your event or guests. Dining in the Restaurant is available for up to 40 seated, 100 as a special dining event or the space can be configured to serve buffet or grab-and-go options as part of your package of events.
